Retired defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth stated in an Instagram article on Wednesday night he is in”dire need” of a kidney transplant.
Haynesworth, 38, wrote that he’s been battling kidney disease for”a couple of decades.” After his kidney eventually failed on Monday, the defensive tackle took to societal media to request a generous kidney donation.Selected at the first round of the 2002 draft, Haynesworth played with four associations over 10 years in the NFL, including seven with the Tennessee Titans. He finished his career in 2011 with 30.5 sacks, 347 tackles and 65 QB hits.
Haynesworth made two Pro Bowls and was appointed to 2 first-team All-Pro teams throughout his career.
